Professional Flight Instructor
Thunderbird Flight Instructors that are based at the Flying Cloud Airport
are responsible for providing quality instruction to recreational customers.
As frontline team members, our flight instructors must be customer service
oriented and knowledgeable in all applicable Federal Air Regulations, to include
Parts 61, 91, and 141. Our CFI team is responsible for generating new student
lead opportunities and developing relationships with customers.
Eligibility Requirements:
Flight Instructors are a critical part of the Thunderbird team. To be considered for this position, applicants must have an unrestricted Commercial Pilot Certificate, as well as a current Flight Instructor Certificate, and a current Second Class Medical. Successful candidates must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, be organized and willing to work on weekends and weeknights.
Salary:
Thunderbird Flight Instructors can start as either part-time or full-time instructors based on need at the time of hire. Part-time instructors pay starts in the lower teens per hour and full-time in the upper teens per hour. Thunderbird Aviation offers an employee discount package to all employees. Full time instructors are also considered for promotions within the organization.
