New e commerce site for parts & pilot supplies allows customers to shop from home
Crystal and Eden Prairie, MN - After six months of work, Thunderbird Aviation has integrated its extensive inventory of parts and pilot supplies onto the web at, www.thunderbirdaviation.com/shop, allowing customers to shop and buy with the click of a mouse.
In addition to carrying the widest selection of pilot supplies in the Twin Cities, Thunderbird Aviation's maintenance department stocks one of the largest selections of aircraft parts in the midwest and all of this is now available for purchase online.
Purchases made on through our website can be mailed directly to your house or be picked up from either of our two locations at Crystal Airport and Flying Cloud Airport.

5-18-2010 - Private Pilot Ground School
Thunderbird Aviation introduces Pilot Ground Schools at our Crystal Airport location. To complement our existing ground school programs, beginning June 14th at Flying Cloud and June 15th at Crystal and continuing for seven weeks, a Private Pilot Ground School will be held each Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. Whether you are just starting your training or haven't flown in years and just want a refresher this ground class is for you. The ground training will satisfy both FAA Approved Part 141 ground requirements or Non-approved Part 61 requirements. After successful completion of the course, students may be eligible for the FAA Private Pilot Written test endorsement. 5-18-2010 - Home School Day at the Crystal Airport
Thunderbird Aviation introduces the inaugural Home School Day at the Crystal Airport - May 21st, 2010, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Whether you are studying transportation, industry, or your home schooler just likes airplanes, this is the event for you.

Events include a Tour of Airport, Aircraft, Maintenance Hangar, and Control Tower Talk with a pilot, mechanic, air traffic controller, and aviation manager. (Approximately 1 1/4 hours) - $5 per person - age 3 and under free
OR a Tour plus aircraft ride (Approximately 2 hours) - $39 per person.
Tours will leave every hour from the Thunderbird Aviation location on the Southwest Corner of Crystal Airport, Crystal Minnesota. In case of poor weather, aircraft rides will be rescheduled for another day. For more information or to register please call 763-533-4162.
